Support Worker - ABI (Brisbane Southside)
Casual / Part-Time Position
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and committed Disability Support Worker to join our growing team, providing high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) across Brisbane's Southside.
This role suits someone who is professional, consistent and is genuinely passionate about supporting participants to build independence, confidence and community connection.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will support participants to achieve their personal goals, maintain daily routines and actively engage within the community. Supports are delivered in line with participant's NDIS goals and focus on empowerment, dignity and safety.
Your duties will include assistance with daily living (no personal care will be needed), accessing the community, transportation, skill development.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver person-centred supports for participants with Acquired Brain Injuries
* Assist with daily living activities
* Support community access, appointments and recreational activities
* Maintain accurate documentation and case notes
* Promote a safe, respectful and empowering environment
* Communicate effectively with participants, families and the rest of the Esteem Mentoring Team
Availability Requirements
This role has fixed participant shifts. Please only apply if you can meet these requirements consistently:
* Participant 1: Monday - Friday | 8am - 12pm
* Participant 2: Monday and Tuesday | 10am - 3pm | Wednesday | 9am - 2pm
Reliability and consistent availability are essential. This position suits someone seeking stable, ongoing shifts rather than casual ad-hoc work.
Requirements
* Previous experience supporting individuals with ABI is preferred but not essential
* Valid National Police Check
* Current First Aid & CPR
* Valid Blue Card & Yellow Card
* Own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* High level of professionalism, reliability and commitment
* Ability to work independently and within a team
