**About the team**
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.
**The Role**
Right now, we are recruiting for a Work Assistant (Project Quality Representative) role to join our Network & Assets Division, Maintenance and Delivery. The Network and Assets Branch are the Custodian of the regional road and rail network. They manage the assets to deliver safe, sustainable and integrated services to regional communities.
As Works Assistant, you will join a growing team that ensures the project specifications and work plan requirements are followed and implemented.
You will complete and maintain records that demonstrate that processes are carried out and verified according to project documentation. You may be required to carry out duties of a Road Worker Grade 3 as required. In this role the focus of your work will include checking work activities are completed to quality specifications by following established procedures, performing measurements to confirm quality both during and on completion of work, comparing results to engineering plans and contract requirements, and completing required records.
**About You**
You're a strong communicator and influential team player, working closely with a range of stakeholders to inspire direction, develop skills and competencies across the business and drive change and overcome challenges.
You will have strong problem-solving skills, are a self-starter and willing to use your initiative, matched by your ability to influence and negotiate with a range of multidisciplinary audiences.
Travel will be required in this role. You must possess a current motor vehicle driver licence and be willing to work outside normal working hours and travel within the regions on occasion.
**Salary and Benefits**
The wage for this position is Works Assistant RMS Wages Award, Grade 3 at $1,342.60 per week plus superannuation and allowances.
