**About the Team**

Transport's Regional and Outer Metropolitan division's purpose is to make regional and outer metropolitan NSW a better place to live, work and visit. Our division is made up of over 4,400 people in over 270 locations across NSW. We operate transport services and maintain our regional networks to help our regional communities and visitors stay safe and connected.

**The Opportunity**

Right now, we have fantastic permanent full-time opportunity for a Customer and Network Operations Coordinator within the Customer Coordination and Service Delivery Branch. The role provides customer-focused advice to and collaborates with key internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the management of day-to-day operation and reporting on the regional and outer metropolitan transport network within an assigned geographic area to ensure consistency and best practice operational activities in delivering a high degree of customer service and operational readiness.

**What **you will be involved in**
- Drive and promote high quality, best practice, standardised operational practices across the transport network in regional NSW to facilitate the optimum customer experience and influence network performance outcomes.
- Engage and maintain key stakeholder relationships with the Regional Transport Operations Centre, the Transport Management Centre, Network & Assets, Community and Place, emergency service agencies, local councils, and other partners to ensure customer-focused operational and network performance outcomes are achieved for planned work and unplanned events and to improve service delivery to customers.
- Coordinate the management of and reporting on operational responses to unplanned incidents and emergencies, including attending incidents when required, influencing and persuading response partners to advocate for the quick clearance of incidents and urgent restoration of network capacity, and evaluating and reporting on response outcomes to ensure timely restoration of network capacity and continuously improve operational responses

This team provides flexible, hybrid working conditions, but there is a requirement to participate in an on-call roster and respond outside of normal business hours.

**About You**

You will be an adaptable and resilient Customer and Networks Operations Coordinator with demonstrated experience working in high pressure environments and thinking on your feet. Possessing strong communication skills, you will have excellent stakeholder engagement skills and an ability to build rapport easily to influence outcomes and challenge ways of working.

With a background in network planning or transports operations you will ideally have knowledge of road construction and maintenance activities. In addition to this, you will have a sound knowledge of transport operations management techniques, devices, policies, and standards. Above all, you will be confident in your decision-making capability, and you will excel at delivering expert advice to customers, clients and stakeholders, often within short timeframes and under challenging circumstances.

To be successful in this role, you will be required to possess a current driver's license and travel to assist with or coordinate operational planning and responses to unplanned and planned events/incidences affecting the NSW State and regional network is also necessary.

**Salary and benefits**

The salary for this position is USS9 ($119,898) - ($128,893) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
