Everest Eatery Hobart is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our team in Hobart. This is a full-time position offering an annual salary between $80,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan menus and estimate food and labour costs
* Order and manage food supplies
* Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
* Liaise with Managers, Dietitians, kitchen and waiting staff regarding food preparation
* Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise on preparation procedures
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
* Train and supervise kitchen staff where required
* Preserve and store food appropriately
Requirements
* At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Chef
* Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or related field
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills
