This has resulted in the creation of a highly-modular and scalable product suite, which have become integral to a wide range of critical Defence capabilities.

The Position

Join our expert soldering team, to provide a core step within our product manufacturing process. As a PCB Electronics Assembler you will build and assemble, repair and modify products as per assembly packs in accordance with specified standards and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble a range of electronic products in accordance with assembly packs and drawings.

• Have a sound knowledge of the use of equipment used in the placement + removal of components.

• Work in the PCB assembly area to assemble CEA PCB’s using automatic and hand soldering techniques.

• Rework PCB assemblies to IPC standards particularly IPC-A-610 for soldering/ assembly standards and IPC-7711/7721 as reference for Rework, Modification and repair of Electronic Assemblies

• Build high quality products in accordance with specified standards and quality systems.

• Solder PTH & SMT parts using a hand soldering iron.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Sound hand-eye coordination and dexterity, including ability to manipulate tools under microscope.

• Knowledge of safe operation of Hand Tools.

• Demonstrated sound Assembly skills with ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings /schematics.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

• Proven strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus on tasks.

• Advanced electronics training or equivalent, ideally with a minimum of 1 years’ experience.

Eligibility

• An Australian Citizen;

• Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance –Negative Vetting 1.

• ITAR - This position requires employees to access equipment and data that is subject to U.S International Traffic and Arms Regulation (ITAR). As such, applicants must disclose the following information at the time of application.
