The Association of Independent Schools of Western Australia (AISWA) is the peak body representing Independent Schools in Western Australia. It has over 166 member schools that enrol over 98,000 students and employ over 14,000 staff.
Highly regarded as an effective advocate for its members, AISWA provides a broad range of innovative services and advice across areas such as training, legal and industrial relations support, technical advice, economic analysis and health. AISWA has annual revenues circa $30 million and 70+ staff.
This Role
The Financial Controller reports to the Director Corporate Services and is a member of AISWA’s senior management team. Leading a team of three, your remit will be across all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with relevant regulations and efficient financial resource management. This will encompass managing budgeting and forecasting, maintaining robust internal controls and ensuring timely preparation of financial reporting to shape strategic financial decisions.
About You
This role requires a proactive and hands-on leader who has initiative, flexibility, integrity and commercial aptitude. Relevant tertiary qualifications and CPA/CA membership are essential. Experience in a similar leadership role with expertise in financial management, compliance and reporting is anticipated. A demonstrated ability to resolve financial and technical accounting challenges is required and experience with new systems integrations will be highly regarded.

This is a permanent position, based at AISWA’s Osborne Park offices where car parking is provided. Other benefits include nfp salary packaging, flexible working arrangements and a seven week annual leave entitlement.
