Key Role in Our Hose Team
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Specialist to join our team in Perth. This customer-facing role will involve securing new business, expanding relationships with existing customers, and providing expert guidance on hose products, assemblies, and applications.
About the Role
* This is a key position that requires building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers.
* The successful candidate will act as the primary contact for key accounts, providing high-quality customer service and technical support.
* You will identify and pursue new sales opportunities across oil & gas, mining, and industrial sectors.
Responsibilities
1. Secure new business and expand relationships with existing customers through effective communication and negotiation skills.
2. Provide expert guidance on hose products, assemblies, and applications to ensure customer satisfaction.
3. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities by staying up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity.
4. Prepare accurate quotations, proposals, and product recommendations to meet customer needs.
5. Conduct regular client and site visits to understand customer needs and strengthen partnerships.
6. Collaborate with internal teams to support order fulfillment and after-sales service.
7. Monitor market activity, competitor trends, and customer feedback to improve sales performance.
8. Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipelines, and activity reporting to track progress.
9. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote products and services.
Requirements
* 3-5 years' experience in technical sales, business development, or account management.
* Experience within hoses, fittings, fluid transfer, or related industrial products.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills to build trust with customers.
* Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and grow accounts through effective sales strategies.
* Solid understanding of industrial, mining, or similar operational environments.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience quoting, tendering, and negotiating contracts.
* Ability to work independently, plan your schedule, and manage priorities effectively.
* Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
* Current driver's license to conduct site visits and travel as required.
