Love2Swim School is at 2 great locations. Kokoda Memorial Pool, Long Tan Memorial Pool in Townsville. Each centre conducts different activities from Swimming Lessons, Aqua Classes, Physio Classes, Lap Swimmers, Walkers along with school groups, and birthday parties. Looking after our clients and regulars is an important role so the successful applicants must have customer service and administrative experience to manage the fast-paced environment.
Our clients are amazing, and our pools are like a second home to them so a friendly disposition is a must for any applicants applying.
Positions available
* Swim Teaching positions. Full training provided for the right applicants. School Hours, After School hours and Weekend mornings are available.
* Aquatic Based Training Positions - these positions are great for school leavers who want practical experience in the workforce.
* Lifeguard Positions - Training will be provided for the right applicants.
* Administration Positions- Training will be provided for the right applicants.
* Party Host positions available. - Great for 16 years + and build your resume working and having fun at Kids Birthday parties - Saturday and Sunday,
* Aqua Instructors - Training provided for the right applicants.
* Juniors/Taineeship who are looking to start in the aquatic Industry
Qualifications & Experience Necessary to work in Aquatics
Experience is an advantage however Love2Swim School train their employees in-house and this is an option for the right person.
* Blue Card
* CPR
* First Aid
* Bronze Medalion
* Lifeguard
* Swim teaching qualification
Tasks & responsibilities
Teachers
* Delivery the Love2Swim School Program and teach and assess children with the correct progressions.
* Ongoing PD training to keep certification current is also a must and be eligible to receive a Working with Children Check
Customer Service
* Greeting our clients with a friendly manner
* Assisting the manager with the day to day running of events
* Keeping the center clean and tidy.
* Understand how to defuse conflict
* Be kind and calm around the water
Lifeguard
* Be respectful and professional in appearance and mannerism
* Always alert and have open communication
* Be aware of the activities and events within the center and manage clients to avoid any conflict.
* Keep a safe environment
Traineeships
* Be willing to learn all areas of Aquatics
* Complete training courses and areas of study to complete Lifeguard, Swimming Instructor and Administration.
* Take instructions well from management and at times be able to work using initiative.
Benefits
Pool Hours vary from morning to evening and included weekends.
