Job Summary
Maintain biomedical and renal department machines and equipment under the supervision of the Manager, Clinical Engineering (Biomedical Services) or designate. Perform routine, complex, and specialized tasks involving installation, maintenance, servicing, modification, troubleshooting, and calibration of complex therapeutic, diagnostic, or life support biomedical/renal instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret engineering and vendor information, schematic diagrams, and graphic illustrations to perform tasks
* Maintain a log of repairs/service calls and provide valuable clinical support to staff
* Assist with the setup of new facilities and ensure that all standards are met
* Comply with Occupational Health and Safety standards for the hospital and promote a safe work environment

Education and Experience
* Biomedical Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent required
* Minimum 3 years' experience in maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment systems
* Knowledge of relevant codes and standards for biomedical equipment and healthcare facilities
* OACETT Certification preferred
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of medical equipment operation and diagnosis
* Valid driver's license required
