We are seeking an experienced Insurance Automation Test Lead to join a large-scale enterprise insurance platform, driving automation maturity across multiple customer journeys.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who can design and evolve automation frameworks while mentoring team members and working closely with engineering and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and manage test automation frameworks
* Define and implement an automation strategy, test plans, and approach
* Automate manual test cases and maintain regression automation suites
* Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
* Ensure high test coverage, stability, and reliability
* Lead defect management and regression testing activities
* Collaborate with developers to resolve issues efficiently
* Provide test estimates, reporting, and test summary documentation
* Mentor testers and promote automation best practices
Skills & Experience Required:
* 5–10 years’ experience in automation testing within enterprise environments
* Strong hands-on experience building and enhancing automation frameworks
* Experience with Playwright and TypeScript
* Exposure to Cucumber / Gherkin (BDD)
* CI/CD experience using Git / GitHub and NPM
* Experience with API, REST/SOAP, and UI testing
* Strong defect management and test coordination skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement ability
Tools & Technologies: Playwright, TypeScript, Git/GitHub, Cucumber, Gherkin, VS Code, NPM, Jira, Confluence, Xray, MongoDB, REST APIs, HTML, JSON, Agile delivery
Desirable Experience:
* Building automation frameworks or QA strategies from scratch
* Ability to articulate automation value and ROI to stakeholders
* Proof-of-concept development and tool selection experience
* Background in insurance or regulated environments
