Catholic Early Learning & Care (CELC) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coordinator/Educational Leader to join our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) team at Holy Cross, Trinity Park in a part-time permanent role of 35hrs per week

This is a rewarding opportunity for an educator who is passionate about inspiring children, supporting colleagues, and leading a vibrant and engaging learning environment. You'll be the creative spark behind engaging activities and a trusted leader for our team.

Working collaboratively with the OSHC Nominated Supervisor, co Assistant Coordinator and the educator team, you'll provide mentorship, model reflective practice, and ensure that each child's voice is heard and valued within the program.

As the Educational Leader you will guide the pedagogical direction of the service and mentor educators in program and practice to ensure our program reflects the principles of the My Time, Our Place School Age Care Framework, aligns with the National Quality Framework (NQF), and provides children with opportunities to explore, discover, and grow in a safe and inclusive space.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead program design and evaluation aligned with the My Time, Our Place Framework, ensuring learning experiences are purposeful, child-led, and reflective of the children's diverse interests and abilities.

* Mentor and guide educators, supporting them to engage in critical reflection, professional dialogue, and ongoing learning.

* Collaborate with the educator team to plan, document, and evaluate the program cycle using the service's digital platform (OWNA), delivering a variety of activities that foster learning, creativity, and physical activity.

* Promote inclusive and culturally responsive practice, ensuring all children feel valued, respected, and supported to participate meaningfully.

* Child Engagement: Build strong, trusting relationships with children, offering individual support and attention to ensure they feel secure and happy.

* Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with parents, caregivers, and educators, addressing concerns and keeping everyone informed about program activities.

* Engage families and the community, building strong relationships that enrich the curriculum and strengthen children's sense of belonging.

* Monitor and assess children's learning and wellbeing, documenting their progress through observations, reflections, and feedback.

* Foster a culture of continuous improvement by supporting the team to identify goals, evaluate outcomes, and celebrate achievements.

* Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations, and the National Quality Standard, maintaining a secure environment for all participants.

* Team Support: Collaborate with the Nominated Supervisor and co Assistant Coordinator to lead and motivate a team of dedicated educators and support staff, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

* Administrative Tasks: Help with scheduling, record-keeping, and managing supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.

We're on the Hunt for a Stellar Assistant Coordinator/Educational Leader Who Can Shine in These Key Areas:

* Passion for Learning: Whether you already have or are working towards a recognised 2-year ECEC qualification, your enthusiasm for early childhood education will be evident in everything you do.

* Safety First: Hold a current Blue Card and up-to-date qualifications in First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Asthma, and CPR, or be eager to secure them as part of your journey with us.

* Experience & Versatility: Bring hands-on experience in OSHC or Early Learning & Care, and capacity to support the Nominated Supervisor. You're ready to step up and cover their role when needed, showcasing your adaptability.

* Tech-Savvy: While experience with CCMS software is a bonus, your readiness to embrace and master new tools is what counts.

* Relationship Builder: Your genuine passion for creating positive, professional relationships with children, families, and team members will shine through.

* Organised & Compassionate: Demonstrate your warm, compassionate nature alongside your strong time management, organisational, and communication skills.

* Quality Focused: Experience in maintaining a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and ensuring it evolves as a collaborative, dynamic document will set you apart.

About You

You are a motivated and reflective educator who thrives on supporting others to succeed. You bring a child-centred approach, creativity in program development, and confidence in leading best practice within the OSHC environment.

You will also bring:

* A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or currently completed at least 50%).

* Demonstrated experience working in OSHC or early childhood education settings.

* Experience in a leadership position

* Proven ability in program planning, documentation, and critical reflection.

* Comprehensive understanding of the My Time, Our Place Framework and the National Quality Framework (NQF).

* Passion for creating engaging, play-based, and developmentally appropriate experiences.

* Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills with the ability to build supportive team relationships.

* Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
