Leadership Opportunity for AOD Policy and Programs
The Department of Health is seeking an Executive Director to lead a new branch within the Mental Health Division.
This role involves strategic stewardship, performance management, and commissioning, as well as implementing harm reduction, treatment, and support services.
* Experience in leading complex public sector projects, commissioning, contracting, and operational functions.
* Understanding of contemporary Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) systems and services, and harm reduction approaches.
* Expertise in development of strategic policy and legislation.
* Experience in leading performance oversight and stewardship, including commissioning, operational policy development, and implementation, provider performance, and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and implementation of AOD policy and programs.
* Strengthen partnerships with stakeholders to improve health and wellbeing outcomes.
* Manage and oversee the provision of AOD services and treatment options.
* Monitor and report on program performance and effectiveness.
Requirements:
* Senior leadership experience in managing complex projects and teams.
* Strong understanding of AOD systems, services, and harm reduction approaches.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to analyze data and develop strategic recommendations.
