About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Manager
to lead our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of MASS. This role is a full-time, fixed term contract for one year with the potential for extension. The role is responsible for the effective management of organisational, planning, financial and administrative functions, ensuring services are delivered in line with our mission and funding requirements.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Management Committee to implement strategic goals, support staff, and strengthen community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee all MASS programs and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and funding agreements.
Provide leadership and supervision to staff within a supportive and empowering environment.
Develop and implement operational and strategic plans in consultation with the Management Committee.
Manage budgets, financial reporting, and organisational planning.
Build strong relationships with community and government stakeholders.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, client-centred services that meet the needs of women and children.
Essential Criteria
Tertiary qualifications in Management, Social Work, Welfare, Social Science, or minimum five years' relevant experience in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of feminist perspectives on domestic and family violence and trauma informed practice.
Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, human resources, and risk management.
Proven financial management and budget development skills.
Experience in strategic planning, project management, and service evaluation.
Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and mediation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a Management Committee.
High-level written communication skills, including report writing and submissions.
Current driver's licence.
Positive Notice Blue Card
Desirable
Sound knowledge of the housing and homelessness sector and property maintenance and management
Experience or understanding of women's refuges.
