About the Role:
Reporting to our Group Executive Strategy and Corporate Affairs, this General Manager role will be instrumental in shaping and executing Ventia's long-term vision while translating high-level strategy to key stakeholders including our CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Board.
In this role, you will lead a focused team, and be accountable for developing group strategy and driving the execution of actionable initiatives with well-defined strategic outcomes. You will lead and facilitate the enterprise approach to, strategy, customer, and cross sector work winning opportunities. You will have exceptional leadership and stakeholder management capability to both collaborate and influence key enterprise strategic outcomes.
To be successful in this role ideally you will have spent significant time within a large-scale strategy house, advised on B2B, and have relevant industry exposure to lead and influence maximising business and client strategic goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support Group Executive of Strategy and Corporate Affairs in developing, driving, and executing the group strategy and opportunities for growth acceleration.
* Monitor and report on enterprise strategic execution and initiatives reviewing and tailoring competitive intelligence to assess competitive positioning and inform decision making.
* Collaborate with Sector Group Executives, business unit General Managers with business planning and development ensuring alignment with group strategic objectives.
* Facilitate sector business unit and client sessions across a range of strategic initiatives.
* Monitor long term market trends to identify growth opportunities.
* Oversee enterprise approach to customer segmentation and feedback ensuring sector accountability to drive for continuous improvement.
* Be an active voice in shaping enterprise agenda for M&A, client centricity, safety, sustainability, diversity, innovation, digital enablement, and business improvement.
Key Knowledge and Experience:
* Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Finance, Legal or similar.
* Deep strategy experience with a large strategy consulting firm and relevant industry exposure across essential infrastructure, or similar industry.
* Well-developed experience in B2B, Work Winning strategy environments and exposure to M&A transactions.
* Seasoned in structuring and executing strategic initiatives and partnerships.
* Demonstrated business acumen, critical strategic thinking generating concepts from capture to planning and execution.
* Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills with ability to influence outcomes across stakeholder groups.
* Expert financial modelling experience.
* Highly analytical, data driven, critical thinking ability with the capability to take insights and a vision to communicate and inspire.
