About the Role
La Salle Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Library Technician to join the team commencing Term 4, 2025. Working closely with teaching staff, the Library Technician plays a pivotal role in supporting student learning and literacy. This is a hands-on role involving:
- Assisting students with reading and research.
- Supervising study areas and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Developing and maintaining a dynamic library collection.
- Promoting literacy and a love of reading.
- Maintaining circulation systems using Oliver V5.
- Supporting staff and students with AV resources and technology.
- Coordinating displays and events such as Book Week.
- Upholding Catholic values through involvement in the school’s mission and prayer life.

About You
We are looking for someone who can bring the following to the role:
- A passion for student learning, literacy and educational support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with library systems (Oliver V5 preferred) and SCIS cataloguing.
- Ability to support and uphold Catholic values and traditions.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively as part of a school community.
- Previous experience in a school or library setting is advantageous.
