What's the role on offer?
Based in our Brisbane Head Office, this is an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering & Maintenance team as a Technical Support Engineer (Maintenance Watch).
In this fast-paced operational role, you will be the key link ensuring Alliance's fleet remains airworthy, compliant, and ready for service.
You will coordinate AOG recovery actions, troubleshoot defects, manage deferred items, and provide technical support to engineering teams, operations, and flight crew—helping us maintain high dispatch reliability and on-time performance.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinating urgent AOG rectifications to minimise operational disruption.Providing technical support for defects, scheduled work packages and maintenance requests.
Monitoring deferred defects, MEL applications, and maintenance records to ensure compliance.
Liaising with engineering teams, subcontractors, crews and operations to resolve technical issues quickly.
Supporting airworthiness, SMS actions, audit responses and regulatory compliance requirements.
Advising stakeholders on operational limitations and recovery plans when aircraft status impacts the schedule.

Who we are looking for
Our ideal candidate is a technically strong and experienced aviation engineer who thrives in a live operational environment.
You'll be calm under pressure, confident in troubleshooting, and excellent at coordinating multiple stakeholders to keep our fleet flying safely and on time.
You will bring
A minimum of 10 years' aviation experience, including 5 years as a Licensed AME on Fokker F****** or Embraer E190.
Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, certification requirements, and airworthiness regulations.
Experience in maintenance control, technical support, or continuing airworthiness management.
Excellent communication, decision-making and defect-resolution abilities in time-critical situations.
Strong organisational, analytical and computer-literacy skills, with the ability to respond to sudden operational changes.
