PRACS is a single discipline service offering centre and home-based outpatient adult rehabilitation and aged care physiotherapy.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Level 3 Physiotherapist to join the Physiotherapy Rehabilitation and Aged Care service at Port Kembla Hospital in the gym-based role.

This exciting role focuses on gym-based therapy delivered to a wide range of aged care and rehabilitation clients, offering therapy in an individual or group based context.

You'll have the opportunity to work alongside other physiotherapists and allied health assistants, participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring clinical excellence in outpatient physiotherapy services.

The successful applicant will have clinical skills in frailty, falls prevention and rehabilitation, including amputee and neurological conditions, as well as demonstrated ability to provide clinical supervision to junior staff.

May be required to work across other sites within the District.

A little about us.

As a part of the new Shellharbour Hospital and Integrated Services Project, a new Community Health Centre is being built on the old Port Kembla Hospital site. The Warrawong Community Health Centre will bring together a range of services including community mental health, drug and alcohol, community nursing, and child and family services.

Until the new Community Centre is complete, some allied health services will continue to operate out of the Port Kembla Hospital site.

* Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
* Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* Current AHPRA Registration
* Extensive post graduate clinical experience in the clinical specialty area
* Valid NSW Drivers Licence

This is a temporary parental leave relief position until 21 March 2027 with the possibility of an extension at same or reduced hours.
