Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Support Officer to join our team in Mackay. This role offers an exciting opportunity for immediate start with potential extension.
As the first point of contact for tenants and contractors, you will provide efficient and effective support in coordinating housing maintenance services. Your exceptional communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills will help ensure timely and quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Answer inbound calls and make outbound follow-ups to arrange maintenance services
* Provide calm, clear, and consistent communication, including de-escalating difficult situations
* Accurately record and manage customer requests in internal systems
* Coordinate and liaise with contractors and service providersWork towards and meet key call centre performance indicators
* Support the team with administration tasks and data entry
* Use Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams) and internal databases effectively
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a call centre or high-volume customer service environment
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced setting
* Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
* Solid time management and decision-making skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams)
* Experience within government or housing maintenance services is highly regarded
