The Role

The Manager Corporate Services (MCS) plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the effective and efficient management of the school's financial, physical, and human resources. Responsible for overseeing all school support staff, the MCS ensures that operational functions align with both school-level priorities and broader departmental policies. The school is seeking a candidate with a high degree of emotional intelligence to lead and support the non-teaching workforce, someone who can build strong relationships, foster a positive team culture, and navigate the complex human aspects of school operations with empathy and professionalism.

Through collaboration with the Principal and Deputy, the MCS contributes to the development and monitoring of the school's Business and Marketing Plans, ensuring that financial performance supports the achievement of strategic goals. This includes administering the school's budget, maintaining financial integrity across funding sources, and delivering accurate reporting to meet department accountability requirements.

In addition to financial management, the MCS oversees asset and facilities management, developing and implementing strategies for the maintenance and optimisation of school infrastructure and resources. The role also encompasses compliance management, ensuring that administrative and information systems align with relevant legislation and departmental guidelines. As part of a broader leadership team, the MCS actively participates in school committees, providing insights into budget trends and advising on emerging business issues. The MCS is also accountable for human resource management, including staff leave administration and performance management, supporting a productive and engaged workforce that contributes to the overall success of the school.
