About the Role Reporting directly to the CTO, the Senior Front-End Developer will play a pivotal role in building and enhancing customer-facing web applications. You'll be responsible for translating design and business requirements into high-quality, scalable front-end solutions that support both customer acquisition and servicing journeys. This role suits a hands-on senior developer who enjoys working closely with designers, back-end engineers, and stakeholders, and who takes pride in delivering clean, performant, and maintainable code. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain responsive web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6) Collaborate with back-end engineers to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions Translate UX/UI designs and business requirements into well-structured front-end code Optimise application performance and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility Contribute to continuous UI/UX improvements and promote consistent design standards Participate in code reviews and support front-end best practices across the team Skills & Experience 3-5 years' experience as a Front-End Developer or Software Engineer Strong hands-on expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript Solid understanding of modern front-end development practices, tooling, and frameworks Experience consuming REST APIs and collaborating with back-end services Strong software engineering fundamentals, including version control and testing Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset Ability to take direction, manage priorities, and deliver to deadlines Nice to Have Exposure to insurance, financial services, or other regulated environments Familiarity with accessibility standards and performance optimisation Benefits Permanent role with a stable, well-established insurance business Hybrid working model (Kent Street, Sydney office) Direct access to leadership and influence over front-end direction Supportive, collaborative engineering culture Eligibility: Applicants must hold full working rights in Australia.
