The opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Python Developer to support one of our clients in building a current integration between their Member Platform and Salesforce CRM. This engagement will suit someone with strong backend integration experience, excellent API design skills, and proven ability to deliver clean, maintainable code in an agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and document a secure, scalable API integration between a new member management platform and Salesforce
- Develop and maintain data mapping, sync logic, and error-handling workflows
- Implement authentication (OAuth 2.0/JWT), rate-limit management, and idempotency logic
- Support UAT, handover, and operational readiness
- Collaborate with the client’s internal technical and business teams to ensure alignment and transparency throughout delivery
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in backend development with Python (FastAPI or Flask preferred)
- Demonstrated experience integrating with Salesforce APIs (REST/Bulk/Composite, SOQL/SOSL)
- Strong understanding of API design, webhooks, and data synchronisation patterns
- Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Excellent documentation, testing, and communication skills
Desirable
- Exposure to middleware or iPaaS (MuleSoft, Workato, Make, etc.)
- Experience with monitoring/logging (CloudWatch, ELK, Datadog)
- Familiarity with membership or subscription-based data models
