As the Research Officer for the First Nations Cancer Cohort Study (CanCo) in Princess Alexandra Hospital, you will play a central role in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples diagnosed with cancer and their caregivers.
You will coordinate participant recruitment, informed consent, onboarding and follow-up, while ensuring high-quality data collection and ethical research practice.
Working closely with teams at The University of Queensland and Cancer Alliance Queensland, you'll help build a long-term population-based cohort that will drive meaningful improvements in cancer care and survivorship.
Key Responsibilities Identify, contact and recruit eligible First Nations participants and caregivers, following approved protocols and informed consent processes.
Conduct phone-based data collection and maintain high standards of data accuracy and integrity.
Manage documentation, scheduling and participant remuneration with strong attention to detail.
Support the maintenance and improvement of tracking and data systems.
