About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced and passionate Qualified Chef to join our team at Town & Country Pizza Lara. This role is perfect for someone who has strong expertise in traditional Italian cooking—especially pasta dishes—and can confidently lead a kitchen. The ideal candidate will have excellent food knowledge, experience in stock management, and the ability to tailor meals to individual dietary needs, including gluten-free and dairy-free options.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Italian dishes, with a strong focus on pasta
2. Lead and manage daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment
3. Oversee food preparation, presentation, and hygiene to the highest standards
4. Manage inventory and food stock, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste
5. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction
6. Adapt and cook meals based on customer dietary requirements (e.g., gluten-free, dairy-free)
7. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen in compliance with food safety regulations

Requirements:

1. Relevant trade qualification.
2. Proven experience as a chef in an Italian restaurant or similar setting
3. In-depth knowledge of Italian cuisine, especially pasta and sauces
4. Strong understanding of food safety, kitchen management, and stock control
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Excellent time management and communication skills
7. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required

The successful applicant will be employed on a full-time basis and will be paid an annual salary $76,515 plus Employer Superannuation Guarantee and is entitled to receive leave in accordance with the relevant Fair Work instrument.
