**Your new company**
Our client is an established Federal Government Agency seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join their Resilience and Policy Section within their Communications Planning and Public Diplomacy Branch.
**Your new role**
Your new position requires an in-depth understanding of relevant Australian Government legislation and policies relating to financial management, tenders, procurement, and mechanisms for the disbursement of funds.
You will run high risk complex procurement processes while:
- Complying with relevant Australian Government legislation and policies, including but not limited to the PGPA Act, Commonwealth Procurement Rules, and related departmental policies; and
- Liaising with various internal stakeholders, including DFAT's corporate procurement team.
- Draft related documentation including complex statements of requirements, procurement documentation including purchase orders, evaluation outcomes, delegate approval documentation, contract management plans etc.
- Draft Grant Guidelines, oversee related financial processes, and prepare letters of agreement and Grant Schedules.
- Deliver quality outcomes under tight timelines and manage multiple competing priorities.
- Assist with the development of budget forecasts.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Knowledge of procurement of services and grants by the Australian Government overseas.
- Minimum five years' experience working within Government Procurement and strong knowledge of procurement from panels and associated contract management and reporting processes.
- Experience providing oversight of public sector procurement activities.
- The ability to undertake analysis of suppliers, markets, products, and service categories to inform procurement planning.
- Provide advice on 'best fit' security procurement approaches.
- Assist in the administration of tender evaluation reports for consideration and approval.
- The ability to assist in the oversight of contract administration activities and monitoring of contract management plans.
- Valuable interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to work effectively as an individual or within a team environment.
- The ability to work with mínimal supervision.
