Primary objective
In line with Tourism and Events NT's marketing and communications strategy and through global partnerships and consumer
cooperative marketing initiatives, the role is required to maximise awareness and conversion for the Northern Territory as a
leisure travel destination to key source international markets.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Support the planning and delivery of global partnership campaigns, including with airlines, online travel agencies (OTAs),
and distribution partners.
2. Coordinate the development and localisation of creative content for specific markets with internal stakeholders, external
agencies and international offices.
3. Manage upgrades for international consumer sites in collaboration with internal stakeholders, including the creation of
custom campaign pages for different markets.
4. Draft necessary briefs for external partners, media and creative agencies to support the delivery of marketing and
content campaigns.
5. Coordinate international marketing reports and campaign evaluations for both internal and external stakeholders.
6. Adapt global creative and content assets for different markets, including necessary translations.
7. Assist in organising international events for trade and stakeholders and provide support in hosting and coordinating
PR/media and trade famils and events as required
8. Offer administrative support and coordinate project work as instructed by the International Manager/s.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proven experience coordinating or supporting integrated marketing campaigns across multiple markets, with strong
attention to detail and project management capability.
2. Demonstrated experience in working with external partners or agencies (e.g., creative, media, or digital) to deliver
campaign outcomes.
3. Solid understanding of the tourism and travel industry, distribution systems, and digital marketing platforms.
4. Experience in using digital analytics and insights to inform marketing activity and reporting.
5. Effective interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with a wide range of people coming from a variety of
technical knowledge bases and an ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
6. Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within deadlines.
Desirable
1. Tertiary qualifications in tourism, communications, business, marketing, and/or other related discipline.
2. Experience working on or supporting international partnership marketing, particularly with airlines, OTAs, or destination
marketing organisations.
3. Proficiency in another language relevant to priority markets (e.g., Mandarin Chinese) would be highly regarded.
