We’re seeking a Senior Site Executive who is not only capable and safety-focused, but also humble, approachable, and genuinely interested in people & production. This is a role for someone who leads by example, listens first, builds trust, and brings the team along on the journey.

About the Role
As the appointed SSE, you will hold statutory responsibility for the site and ensure operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Queensland mining legislation.
You will oversee daily production activities, lead the site team, and drive a strong safety and performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Fulfil statutory duties as SSE under the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999 (QLD)
* Lead and maintain the site Safety & Health Management System (SHMS)
* Oversee quarry production, processing, and load-out operations
* Supervise site personnel and contractors in collaboration with our Site Operations Lead
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
* Drive continuous improvement in safety and operational performance
* Coordinate maintenance and plant reliability activities
* Liaise with regulators and key stakeholders as required
About You
* Collaborative and approachable – you’re comfortable with change and transformation
* Experience in quarrying, extractive industries, or mining operations
* Eligible for appointment as an SSE in Queensland (or ready to step into an entry SSE role)
* Strong understanding of QLD quarry safety legislation
* Proven leadership experience in operational environments
* Sound knowledge of mobile plant and fixed processing equipment
* Safety-focused with strong communication skills
Desirable
* Previous Quarry Manager or 2IC experience
* SSE notice or ability to obtain
* First Class Mine Manager (advantageous but not essential)
