Job Description:
We're seeking three experienced and specialised project managers to lead the delivery of critical upgrades across water and wastewater infrastructure. These roles offer the opportunity to manage technically diverse capital works that enhance service reliability, operational resilience, and long-term community wellbeing. Each project presents unique challenges, ideal for professionals who thrive in complex environments and are ready to make a tangible impact.
Senior Project Manager – Water & Wastewater Treatment:
* Oversee planning, procurement, and delivery of four concurrent brownfield treatment plant upgrades
* Manage design and construction contracts for chlorination systems, solar power integration, and infrastructure enhancements
* Lead tender preparation, assessment, and award recommendations
* Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
* Coordinate with internal teams to align project milestones and reporting
Requirements
* 15+ years' experience in mechanical or civil engineering, with a focus on water and wastewater treatment
* Proven success managing brownfield infrastructure projects
* Strong contract administration and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to travel to project sites as required
Project Manager – Pipeline Infrastructure:
* Deliver pipeline replacement works including trenchless and trenched construction
* Oversee installation and commissioning of smart flow meters across multiple network zones
* Manage tender evaluation, contractor supervision, and commissioning activities
* Ensure accurate documentation and reporting throughout project lifecycle
Requirements
* 10+ years' experience in civil engineering, specialising in pipeline construction
* Familiarity with pressure pipeline systems and smart metering technologies
* Strong analytical and coordination skills
* Ability to manage multiple deliverables across short timeframes
Project Manager – Utilities & Site Infrastructure:
* Manage design, procurement and construction of backup power systems for water treatment operations
* Manage switchboard replacement programs across multiple sites
* Oversee valve and hydrant replacement works with minimal service disruption
* Deliver sewer pipeline replacement and relining projects
* Liaise with operational teams and coordinate community communications for planned outages
Requirements
* 7+ years' experience in civil engineering, with exposure to brownfield sites and utility upgrades
* Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and water network operations
* Excellent planning and contingency management skills
* Ability to balance technical oversight with stakeholder engagement
* Knowledge of Australian and New Zealand electrical standards (e.g. AS/NZS 3000) is highly valued
Engagement Details:
* Drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) arrangement only
* Competitive hourly rate above award, with vehicle provision included
* Contracted position for 12 months or until project completion
* Immediate start following tender award
* PPE and site safety compliance required
