The Centre of Policy Studies at Victoria University is seeking a motivated researcher to join its economic modelling team. The successful candidate will undertake research in the development, parameterisation and application of large-scale urban economic models under the direction of senior staff.

Key responsibilities include undertaking economic research for diverse funding agencies, nationally and internationally, developing large-scale economic models, and training others in their development and application. Collaboration with colleagues is essential to achieve project goals.

A strong background in urban, regional or transport economics or econometrics, or related fields of allied disciplines is required. Skills and expertise in computable general equilibrium (CGE) modelling, data analysis, programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with model calibration and validation are highly valued.

This is a fixed-term position for 1 year with the expectation of ongoing annual renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
