About The Job The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia’s largest and most-loved charities. Store Managers efficiently and effectively manage all aspects of one retail site to maximise sales and profitability. Hamilton Salvos Store are looking for a talented Store Manager who loves retail, loves a challenge, and loves making a difference. Take accountability to drive and lead growth whilst providing an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members.
Role content is based on a real retail leadership position with responsibilities across team leadership, customer service, operations, safety and financial performance.
Responsibilities
* Lead, grow and develop a team of paid employees and volunteers.
* Ensure extraordinary customer service is provided every day, in every interaction.
* Embed exceptional operational and visual merchandise standards.
* Role-model a “safety first” culture in our stores.
* Plan and manage the financial performance of the store.
* Build and support the volunteer workforce and engage with the local community.
About You / Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar industry is highly regarded but not essential.
* Essential: strong people and team leadership, passion and proven ability to deliver outstanding results in a complex and rewarding retail environment.
* High energy, hands-on approach with a proven track record in delivering exceptional customer service.
* Integrity and alignment to The Salvation Army Mission and Values.
* Excellent written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills.
* Solid technical skills; Workday HCM system experience is highly regarded.
