A day in the life of an Early Childhood Teacher…
* Supporting role in enhancing the current curriculum by bringing in your individual areas of expertise
* Embedding the values, practices and principals of the EYLF
* Community involvement and Aboriginal perspectives
* Forming bonds across the service with all educators and children
* Creating and delving into centre-wide projects encompassing each room and individual learning goals
* Assisting educators with assessments of learning
* Using routine tasks as intentional teaching moments
About you:
* Have a good understanding of child development
* Can inspire others in their educational journey
* Contribute to Exceeding outcomes for children and educators
* Willing to work in partnerships with families and external services
* Are thoughtful and compassionate
* Willing to be recognised as the early childhood teacher
Skills & Experience
* A degree in Early Childhood Education and Care or completed 50% of an Early Childhood Degree
* A Valid Working with Children Card
* Current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain
* Valid Child Protection training or willing to obtain
* Experienced Early Childhood Teacher highly regarded but not necessary
* An understanding of both the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
* Proven Educator experience within an Early childhood service (working with children 0-5 years)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
