About the work unit / facility The Specialist Palliative Care Rural Telehealth (SPaRTA) Service provides guidance and care for patients across the five phases of the palliative care journey. Care provided by the highly skilled multidisciplinary team of specialist doctors, nurses, allied health, and administration contributes to positive outcomes for the patient and family/carers through the provision of specialist telehealth services. (HP4) * 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading * 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation * Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available About your opportunity * Deliver independent high-level occupational therapy via telehealth with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence. * Undertake clinical governance activities, such as the development of clinical practices and guidelines that support the continuum of care. * Provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced occupational therapy practitioners, and students, to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within the Occupational Therapy, providing Performance and Development Plans (PDP), as delegated. Requirements: * The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Occupational Therapy, and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. * This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. * This position is required to work on weekends on a rostered basis as part of the Occupational Therapy Weekend Service. * Desirable: Qualifications in wound / burns management * This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
