Regional Coordinator, Marine Rescue
Maintenance of operational services plays a vital role in ensuring the safety of the boating community. As a key member of our team, you will oversee operations and supporting functions for the region.
* Support the development and implementation of service delivery plans and provide strategic advice on associated response planning arrangements and programs.
* Lead and manage the safe delivery of operational outcomes in cooperation with volunteers in a dynamic disaster/emergency management environment.
* Manage human resources, financial, and asset management functions for the area effectively and ensure high-quality support is provided to volunteers.
* Drive and deliver outcomes in partnership with local government, other government agencies, authorities, Indigenous communities, and community groups to build capability and evaluate the effectiveness of programs.
* Support the delivery of community education and awareness programs in accordance with agreed education strategic plans and represent as a member of Disaster Management Groups as required.
* Contribute to the development, delivery, and implementation of operational and administrative policy, equipment, and processes and facilitate post-event analysis and debriefs for the region including the development of improvement strategies in building operational capacity and capability.
Key Requirements:
* Possession of Open 'C' Class Queensland Drivers Licence
* Experience in Maritime Search and Rescue Organisations (national/international), or be willing to acquire formal search and rescue qualifications within six months of commencement.
