About the Role
This position supports the Finance Manager and Group Finance team in delivering a broad range of accounting and administrative activities, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, BAS and IAS preparation, reconciliations, payroll, banking, and related month-end and quarter-end reporting, as well as assisting in the preparation and updating of the responsible BUs' monthly/quarterly QSR reporting. The role is key to ensuring the timely, accurate, and efficient provision of financial services across the organisation.
Main responsibilities include:
* Delivery of high-quality financial analysis.
* Ensuring successful completion of the monthly and quarterly financial deliverables for the vertical market.
* Contributing to effective formulation, documentation and sharing of processes, policies, and procedures.
* Effective stakeholder relationship management with an emphasis on fostering excellent business partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Committing to the company's core values.
What We're Looking For:
You thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment and possess the self-confidence to approach change with enthusiasm.
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, or other relevant professional qualification
* CA/CPA membership (Equivalent or working towards it)
* At least 3 years of experience in a in a related role, preferably within a commercial software environment
* Solid understanding of core accounting principles and applicable accounting standards
* You thrive in tackling challenges head-on and finding creative solutions
* Highly effective communication skills with high attention to detail
* Tech savviness and experience with computerised accounting packages
* Energetic and self-motivated being able to work autonomously and in a team-based environment
* Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains that would be advantageous but not mandatory
* High level of adaptability/flexibility coupled with a keenness to learn
