Dual Diagnosis Clinician
Wodonga Location | Part-time (3 days per week / 45 hours per fortnight) | Fixed term to June 2029

As our Homes First Dual Diagnosis Clinician, you'll work alongside individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability, providing integrated support for mental health and substance use challenges. You'll play a key role in empowering clients to maintain their housing, improve wellbeing, and achieve their goals - without being passed between services.
What you'll do:
* Deliver counselling and clinical assessments to clients with dual diagnosis needs (mental health and alcohol/drug use)
* Develop and implement tailored care and support plans
* Engage proactively with clients, building trust and promoting safety and stability
* Work closely with the Homes First team and external services to coordinate holistic, wraparound support
* Promote the principle of 'one right door,' ensuring clients receive seamless, person-centred care

About you:
1. A relevant tertiary qualification such as Social Work, Psychology, or Social Science, and relevant experience to this role.
2. An understanding of dual diagnosis, with an ability to apply this knowledge effectively when providing therapeutic support and intervention.
3. Highly developed communication skills and demonstrated ability to provide direct service in the clinical assessment and treatment of young people and adults.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of trauma, attachment and neurobiology frameworks and theories.
5. A demonstrated ability to be receptive and flexible to new ideas and the capacity to adapt to changing work demands and circumstances.
