Location: Karratha, WA
Duration: Ongoing contract - long-term project (2+ years)
Language Requirement: Bilingual in English and Mandarin (Essential)
PERSOL is currently seeking experienced Structural and Civil Engineers with demonstrated Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) project experience to support a major, long-term operation in Karratha.
These FIFO-based roles will involve providing engineering support across the design, review, and construction phases of TSF and associated civil infrastructure works. You will play a critical role in ensuring structural integrity, regulatory compliance, and safe, efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide structural and civil engineering input across TSF and associated infrastructure works
* Undertake design reviews, site inspections, and technical assessments
* Prepare, review, and verify engineering documentation, drawings, and specifications
* Support site-based construction teams with practical engineering solutions and technical advice
* Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, site requirements, and company specifications
* Collaborate with geotechnical, construction, and environmental teams to achieve safe and effective outcomes
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
* Proven experience with Tailings Storage Facilities, dams, earthworks, or mining infrastructure projects
* Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards and engineering design principles
* Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, SpaceGass)
* Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
* Current Australian working rights
* Current WA "C" Class Driver's Licence
* Bilingual in English and Mandarin - Essential
* Able to meet site requirements, including fit testing (clean shaven)
