About The Ruthy Clinic
The Ruthy Clinic is a modern dental and facial aesthetics clinic based in Launceston. We're currently looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team. We are open to experienced assistants, as well as trainee applicants with the right attitude and qualities.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position supporting clinical delivery and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. Depending on your experience level, your responsibilities may include:
* Chairside assistance across general and cosmetic dentistry
* Infection control and sterilisation procedures
* Preparing and maintaining clinical rooms and instruments
* Assisting with digital workflows (scanners, imaging, photos)
* Patient communication and comfort support
* Supporting appointment flow and clinical efficiency
* Administrative support as required (optional depending on skill set)
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is reliable, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
For experienced applicants:
* Previous dental assisting experience preferred
* Familiarity with sterilisation and infection control protocols
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
* Radiography certification is advantageous (but not essential)
For trainee applicants:
You don't need experience — we can train you if you have:
* A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* A calm, professional manner
* Confidence communicating with patients and team members
* Attention to detail and excellent hygiene standards
* Reliability and punctuality
