As a Food Services Officer working in the RHH Cafeteria, you'll be part of a dedicated team that provides nutritious meals and great service to visitors and staff. The team focuses on safe food preparation and handling, hygiene, efficiency, and teamwork.
Overview
The Food Services Officer assists with food preparation, production, plating service, warewashing, and cleaning duties in the provision of catering services to patients, visitors, and staff of the hospital, in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Responsibilities
* Perform tasks safely, efficiently, and effectively in accordance with training and direction.
* Check patient identification prior to delivering/distributing meals and observe all dietary restrictions allocated to patients.
* Provide meal services to patients, visitors, and staff in a polite and courteous manner.
* Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and walls as directed by relevant supervisors and in accordance with relevant guidelines.
* Exercise reasonable care in the performance of duties consistent with the relevant Work Health and Safety legislation.
Details of appointment
Permanent full time, shift worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary and benefits
Salary: $57,130 to $62,486 per annum. Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
