We are seeking a confident, hands‑on Human Resources Manager to lead our HR team and support our high‑performing operational teams. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, can partner closely with leaders, and is passionate about building a strong, engaged, and inclusive workforce.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Human Resources Manager will provide end‑to‑end support across the entire employee life cycle and play a key role in shaping our people strategy. You will be the primary advisor to our leadership team on all HR, ER and performance matters, ensuring our practices are compliant, consistent, and aligned to our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End HR Support
* Lead recruitment, selection, onboarding, talent planning, and employee retention initiatives.
Employee Relations & Performance
* Provide proactive guidance and tools to leaders to effectively manage and develop their teams.
* Manage and resolve complex employee matters in collaboration with leaders.
* Oversee performance management processes, including coaching, conflict mediation, disciplinary procedures, and terminations.
* Monitor probation reviews and issue relevant documentation.
* Implement and facilitate the annual performance and salary review programs.
* Support overall employee well‑being and foster a positive, diverse, and inclusive workplace culture.
Injury Management & Compliance
* Manage workers' compensation and motor vehicle injury management.
* Coordinate return‑to‑work programs.
* Provide accurate interpretation of Awards, NES, Fair Work legislation and HR policies.
Strategic Partnering
* Work with leadership teams to develop strategies and people‑focused objectives aligned to business goals.
* Identify and drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and company culture.
* Create and update position descriptions to align with operational requirements.
Additional HR Functions
* Manage migrant worker visas in line with business plans and support smooth transitions for international employees.
* Oversee apprentice onboarding and compliance requirements.
* Deliver training to team leaders on HR processes, policies, and procedural fairness.
* Provide strong mentorship to our HR and leadership teams.
Education & Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior HR role.
* Strong knowledge of HR best practice, legislation, NES, and Award interpretation.
* Demonstrated experience with performance management and conflict resolution.
* Experience using HRIS platforms (Employment Hero highly desirable).
* Proven ability to influence, build relationships, and provide credible advice.
