Gladstone Hospital is a 70-bed facility delivering a comprehensive range of services, including emergency, maternity, and high dependency care. About the role:
Provide high-quality anaesthetic services including general, regional, and obstetric anaesthesia.
Conduct pre-anaesthetic assessment clinics and acute ward rounds for high-acuity patients.
Support surgical services for endoscopy, general surgery, orthopaedics, and dental procedures.
Lead and supervise junior medical staff and students to ensure safe patient care.
Participate in the on-call and weekend rosters to provide essential out-of-hours care.
Coordinate patient transfers in collaboration with Queensland Retrieval Services.
Contribute to theatre management practices to improve service efficiency and safety.
About you:
You hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
You are eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
You possess a JCCA, Diploma of Rural Generalist Anaesthesia, or appropriate Fellowship (FACRRM/FRACGP).
You demonstrate extensive clinical experience across the range of Rural Generalist Anaesthetic services.
You are capable of working in relative isolation while delivering quality clinical care.
You have a proven commitment to quality improvement and patient safety.
You are a clear communicator who thrives in a multidisciplinary team environment.
You are dedicated to ongoing professional development and the supervision of trainees.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $500,515 p.a. (L25) is comprised of:
A salary between $187,569 - $259,072 p.a. (L13 - L25)
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
