About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our Community Care team in Coffs Harbour.
This role involves providing person-centred support to clients in their own homes, enabling them to live safely, independently, and with dignity.
Female carers are encouraged to apply in line with individual client preferences and care needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care including hygiene, grooming, bathing, toileting, and dressing
* Support mobility, transfers, and maintain a safe home environment
* Assist with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, medication reminders, shopping, social support, and light domestic duties
* Build respectful, trusting relationships that promote client choice and independence
* Observe and report changes in clients' health or circumstances to your supervisor
About You
You will bring:
* Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Support, or equivalent
* Minimum 1 year experience as a Personal Care Worker
* Current NSW Driver's Licence and reliable transport
* A caring, patient, and respectful approach
* Strong communication skills and professional boundaries
* Reliability, punctuality, and integrity
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain:
* Current National Police Check
* Current Working with Vulnerable People Check
* Valid Australian work rights
* Relevant training or willingness to complete training (First Aid, Manual Handling, Infection Control, etc.)
