Job Summary
As a member of the Risk and Compliance Team, this role will perform second line oversight of credit applications.
This is an exciting opportunity to expand on your credit analytical skills and to drive training and improvement. The role will have oversight of credit risk applications performed in Australia, Manila and London. The successful candidate must have previous experience of loan assessment and quality.
This is a full‑time role (or part‑time role for the right candidate) based in Melbourne, Australia. The successful candidate will be required to work 4 days in the office, with 1 day from home.
Key job tasks and responsibilities
- Work in a team to undertake audit reviews of credit applications against Policy, regulatory obligations and risk appetite.
- Provide feedback and reporting to Managers to improve overall credit assessment standards and reduce risk exposure.
- Work closely with other Analysts to consolidate reporting on findings.
- Maintain the Delegated Lending Authority arrangements with the Credit team.
- Provide Line 2 reviews on other aspects of the Credit functions within ColCap (including Financial Hardship).
- Strengthen risk management and recommend improvements to our control frameworks.
- Provide input and support to the Risk and Compliance function to improve credit decision quality.
- Support the CRO and Senior Manager Risk and Compliance in enhancing operational standards as required.

Key required skills
- Previous experience in the financial services or lending industry performing credit risk analysis and audits.
- Knowledge of credit policies, serviceability guidelines and regulatory requirements (e.g. NCCP, AML, KYC etc).
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and confidence to engage with and manage stakeholders at all levels.
- Able to produce reporting and think analytically.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a pro‑active and collaborative outlook.
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously while maintaining working relationships.
- A adaptable and agile approach with an ability to prioritise and meet competing deadlines.
- A keen interest in financial markets and regulations.
