About Us
Our client, a manufacturer of industrial machinery is seeking a motivated and technically minded Junior Sales Engineer to join a leading international organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for technology, problem solving and customer relationships to build a long-term career in a high-performing team.
You will be based in Queensland, supporting customers across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and surrounding regions, with occasional interstate and overseas travel for training, demonstrations, and industry events.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
* Understand customer requirements and provide tailored technical solutions
* Prepare and negotiate quotations, tender responses, and contract terms
* Manage sales projects and meet regular sales targets
* Prepare reports for management and contribute to forecasting activities
* Deliver technical presentations and machinery demonstrations
* Collaborate closely with the sales team and technical specialists
* Support events including technical centre demonstrations and oversea factory tours
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who brings:
* A solid technical background (engineering, machinery, industrial equipment, or similar)
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Good business judgement and commercial awareness
* The ability to quickly build rapport and communicate effectively with customers
* Resilience, initiative and a proactive mindset
* Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently
* A full driver's licence (essential)
* Experience in the sheet metal industry (advantageous but not essential)
