My client is a state-of-the-art sheet metal company based in Perth and are looking for a 1st class sheet metal worker for a temporary to permanent role, paying between $32 - $37ph +super.
Your new role
Your responsibilities will include:
Interpret Technical Drawings and Specifications
* Read and interpret HVAC ductwork plans, blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
* Ensure work is carried out to required standards and measurements.
Layout and Fabrication of Ductwork
* Mark out metal sheets according to templates or CAD files.
* Cut, notch, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and machinery (e.g. guillotines, folders, plasma cutters).
Use of Machinery and Tools
* Operate manual and plasma cutting machines safely and efficiently.
* Perform routine maintenance checks on tools and machinery.
* Safely use tools like press brakes, spot welders, and seamers.
Welding and Joining
* TIG, MIG, or spot weld components as needed.
* Use rivets, bolts, or other fasteners to assemble and secure duct components.
Quality Control
* Inspect completed components to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
* Measure and test duct sections for fit and seal integrity.
What you'll need to succeed
Relevant trade certificate and experience in a similar role.
