Our expertise supports mining operations both across Australia and internationally.Due to continued growth, we are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Metallurgist / Process Engineer to join our metallurgical team.
This role reports directly to the General Manager and offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of technically challenging projects.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging and conducting metallurgical and hydrometallurgical testwork programsDeveloping effective process flowsheets tailored to individual projectsEstablishing, monitoring, and managing project budgets, including issuing project invoicesParticipating in large-scale continuous pilot plant campaigns as required and interpreting resultsWorking collaboratively with Metallurgists to solve client challenges and ensure quality and customer satisfactionPreparing substantial components of technical reports for issue to clientsCompiling, verifying, interpreting, and reporting metallurgical test dataDesired Technical ExpertiseMineral ProcessingFlotation (oxide and sulphide systems)Hydrometallurgical testingMetallurgical accounting and reportingExposure to pyrometallurgy and integrated processing routes (desirable)Qualifications & ExperienceA Bachelor of Science in Metallurgy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related tertiary qualificationStrong leadership and supervisory capabilityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsThe ability to work collaboratively within a technical team while managing multiple prioritiesWhy Join NagromAt Nagrom, you'll be part of a highly experienced and collaborative metallurgical team working on a diverse range of commodities and technically complex projects.
