Job Summary
The Australian Research Council (ARC) is seeking a skilled Database Administrator/Data Engineer to assist in the design, implementation, and support of its data capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* To utilize experience in database administration, development, data warehousing, and business intelligence to provide data services and support new business analytics services.
* To engage with stakeholders and delivery team members to develop work packages using an adapted scrum methodology.
Requirements
* Scoping, planning, and executing projects/tasks, including risk management, approvals, and prioritization.
* Excellent MS SQL Server development skills (at least five years of Microsoft SQL Server development).
* Experience with Business Intelligence development stack, specifically SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
* Expert-level troubleshooting and optimization skills.
* Able to work independently and within a team.
* Deliver results on time and prioritize workload effectively.
* Maintain organizational standards.
* A proven track record of delivering database layers for software projects.
* Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills with attention to detail.
* A relevant degree or Microsoft database certifications.
* Experience querying XML and JSON data.
* Experience with source control, e.g., Subversion, TFS, VSS, Git.
* Agile and/or Scrum project experience.
* Visual Studio/SQL Server Data Tools proficiency.
