Emergency Department Clinical Lead
Campbelltown ED is one of the busiest and most diverse emergency departments in the region, delivering high-quality patient care to a rapidly growing community.
* Leadership Role: Provide visible and accountable clinical leadership that promotes a positive culture and ensures compliance with NSW Health policies and NSQHS Standards. Foster collaboration across teams and departments.
* Operational Management: Oversee the daily operational flow of a high-acuity environment, coordinating staffing, resource allocation, and escalation frameworks to ensure timely and safe care. Partner closely with medical officers to maintain effective patient flow.
* Nursing Workforce Development: Build relationships with nursing staff and external stakeholders, leading cross-site communication, MDT huddles, safety briefings, and operational meetings. Support consistent care standards and develop a skilled nursing workforce through training and development programs.
* Patient Safety and Quality Improvement: Maintain a high standard of patient and staff safety, leading incident review, risk mitigation, WHS responsibilities, and quality improvement initiatives. Monitor and improve patient experience, satisfaction, and safety outcomes.
* Collaboration and Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with medical, nursing, allied health, mental health, and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments.
This role requires a highly skilled and experienced nurse leader who can provide strategic direction and oversight of clinical operations in a dynamic emergency department environment.
