Role Overview
In this role, you will provide dental services in line with the policies, protocols, and guidelines of the Agency and OHST, to eligible adults and children.
The Team
Oral Health Services Tasmania (OHST) is the state government provider of dental services to eligible Tasmanians, employing a multidisciplinary team of dental professionals in the delivery of child, adult and prosthodontic services, working in major centres and community clinics.
Responsibilities
As a Dental Officer employed with OHST, you will work in the Southern region as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering preventive and restorative dentistry, improving overall health and dental outcomes to eligible Tasmanians. Provide clinical dental services and associated administrative functions in line with OHST strategies, policies, and programmes, undertaking general dental practitioner level services for concession card holders and children in accordance with current treatment guidelines and management policies.
Qualifications and Skills
Sound knowledge of dentistry, including childrens' dentistry, at the general dental practitioner level; commitment to continuing professional education and sharing knowledge with colleagues; up-to-date knowledge of Public Health Dentistry and Minimal Intervention Dentistry with a commitment to improving safety and quality of services.
Essential Criteria
* Registered with the Dental Board of Australia.
* Working with Children Registration (where applicable).
