Job Title: Senior Construction Lead
Location: Karratha, Western Australia (FIFO from Perth only)
Contract Duration: 3-4 months, until 30 December 2025
Roster: 2:1 (site-based, 11-hour days including breaks)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Lead to support delivery of a pioneering industrial project in Western Australia. This role involves leading construction activities, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are met in a complex, high-risk environment.
You will be responsible for providing technical oversight, supporting project management, and ensuring construction execution aligns with industry standards, safety requirements, and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Construction & Commissioning Manager as required
* Develop and implement construction and commissioning processes and procedures
* Provide supervision and technical assistance at manufacturing, fabrication, and installation sites
* Review project deliverables, focusing on constructability and commissioning input
* Prepare construction execution plans, scopes of work, schedules, and mobilisation requirements
* Contribute to cost estimates and project budgets
* Lead constructability reviews and input to project execution plans
* Assist procurement and subcontract teams with scope definitions, evaluations, and awards
* Liaise between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
* Provide cost and schedule input for fabricated items/packages and follow up on quality and delivery
* Produce progress reports for project management and stakeholders
* Manage planning and design stages of construction projects
* Ensure safe, high-quality, and environmentally responsible execution of construction activities
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor's degree or relevant trade qualification
* Formal training in project management (PMP or equivalent) desirable
* Minimum 15 years' experience in oil and gas or industrial plant construction, with at least 10 years focused on construction leadership roles
* Strong background in SMP (structural, mechanical, piping) construction
* Demonstrated success on Australian onshore construction projects
* Proven ability to manage cost, schedule, and risk in complex construction environments
* Strong problem-solving, organisational, and leadership skills
* Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and construction management databases
* Effective English communication skills (oral and written)
