Job Description
Bishops Transport is recruiting an experienced and qualified Welder / Metal Fabricator to join our team in Karratha, Port Headland and Forrestfield, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Reading and analysing blueprints and drawings.
* Using TIG and MIG welders.
* Examining welds for the width of bead, penetration and precision.
* Welding vertically, horizontally and overhead.
* Welding various metals using various techniques.
* Cutting, rolling, shaping, bending, moulding, spinning, heating or hammering metal products to fabricate parts or sub‐assemblies.
* Heat‐treating metal parts and components.
* Setting up and/or operating hand and machine tools, welding equipment.
* Assembling parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding, bolting or riveting.
* Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing or bathing them in acid solutions, or by applying protective or decorative coatings.
Skills & Abilities
* Certificate III in Engineering (Welding Fabrication) or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum of three years' experience in this role or similar.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
