Talent International, a leading Australian recruitment firm, has been engaged by our long-standing client, a leading ASX-listed manufacturer. We are seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer on a contract basis until March ****.

Location: Port Kembla, NSW
Responsibilities
Lead and oversee process engineering activities, including design calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, process descriptions, specifications, and scope development.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, ensuring quality and compliance with engineering and HSE standards.
Participate in hazard and design reviews, plant layout reviews, and the development of safe working procedures.
Support commissioning, pre-commissioning, handover, and rectification during defects liability periods.
Manage relationships with external engineering providers, consultants, and contractors, including contract negotiation and administration.
Identify, document, and manage risks in line with organisational risk management practices.
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience in process engineering within a manufacturing or heavy industry environment.
Strong knowledge of engineering design processes, including PFDs, P&IDs, process descriptions, specifications, and data sheets.
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing engineering teams and projects.
Strong expertise in safety leadership, hazard identification, and HSE compliance.
Experience managing projects, contracts, and external engineering consultants.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
