We are seeking a highly experienced Solutions Design Manager

This role requires strong leadership capability, excellent communication skills and deep expertise in ICT solution design and systems analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with business areas, technical teams and senior stakeholders to shape, design and deliver scalable ICT solutions that support the agency's strategic and operational priorities.
Operating under broad direction, the role will manage and oversee solution design and delivery activities across multiple initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, government digital standards and integrated program outcomes.
The position requires someone who can effectively lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex stakeholder environments and adapt to evolving priorities while driving innovation, continuous improvement and high‐quality digital service delivery.
This role is open to Australian Citizens only who are able to obtain or hold a minimum of a baseline security clearance. The successful candidate will have experience equivalent to a well‐rounded SFIA level 5 across Consultancy, Enterprise and Business Architecture, Requirements Definition and management and Systems Design.
Key responsibilities include
* Lead the development and delivery of ICT application services for a large Government Agency to achieve its strategic objectives.
* Translate business and market insights into effective technical solutions. Ensure applications meet business and end‐user requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.
* Oversee team performance, capability development and resource management.
* Drive innovation, change, and continuous improvement in solution design and delivery.
* Manage stakeholder relationships, finances, contracts and inter‐agency collaboration.
* Provide expert advice on ICT strategy, planning and system optimisation.
Technical skills required, include but not limited to:
* SAP PSCD
* SAP ABAP
* SAP ABAP on Cloud
* RAP Programming
* BRF+
